With a degree from National University, you will be able to take advantage of new opportunities in integrative care clinics, hospitals and innovative private practices.Our Oriental Medicine ProgramThe Master of Science in Oriental Medicine Degree (MSOM) is a 167.5-credit-hour program that can be earned in nine trimesters and incorporates acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in a classical curriculum. We also offer a Master of Science in Acupuncture Degree (MSAc), a 121-credit-hour program that can be earned in seven trimesters. Both programs incorporate cadaver dissection into acupuncture and meridian studies. The anatomy curriculum encourages the study of the relationship between acupuncture points and the human anatomy.As a student in either the acupuncture or oriental medicine program at National University, you will receive early clinical exposure with experienced clinicians. In addition to our large campus clinic, you will also have the opportunity to take advantage of unique internship opportunities such as in the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Clinic for veterans or the rotations at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Chicago.
