Understand our planet and the ways it applies to our lives. Earth science has many interesting and practical applications. Some earth scientists use their knowledge of the Earth to locate and develop energy and mineral resources. Others study the impact of human activity on Earth's environment and design methods to protect the planet. Some use their knowledge about Earth processes such as volcanoes, earthquakes and hurricanes to plan communities that will not expose people to these dangerous events. TCC's Earth Science Program allows you to specialize in oceanography, geology, environmental studies and environmental science. For all these areas, there are multiple opportunities for field experience. Program Description TCC offers courses that cover the first 2 years of a typical 4-year science program, as well as courses to develop skills needed for college-level courses. Earn degrees in 4 different programs: Environmental Science Environmental Studies Geology Oceanography Degree Options: Associate in Arts and Sciences (Option A) Associate in Arts and Sciences (Option B) Associate of Science degree with an Environmental Sciences Specialization Associate of Science degree with an Earth Sciences Specialization
