The Criminal Justice-Arts and Sciences transfer program is intended for those students who plan to enter a highly specialized profession in which education has become an important factor for continued career advancement. The program is designed to enhance student understanding of the very broad field of criminal justice. The student will become acquainted with technical skills and procedures, acquire knowledge of the administration and operation of criminal justice organizations, and be made aware of the numerous career opportunities in criminal justice. By consulting with an advisor and by using ARTSYS, students can plan a course of study that will transfer seamlessly to a baccalaureate degree-granting institution. Those students intending to enter criminal justice careers must be aware that successful completion of a criminal justice program is not a guarantee of employment.
