The human physiology major provides a broad background in science and health while simultaneously preparing students to analyze the functions of the human body in a variety of research and clinical settings. Students take core courses in the sciences during the first two years of the program in addition to courses in the humanities and social sciences. During the final two years of study, human physiology majors take advanced sequences of courses in physiology, research methods, human anatomy, and neuroscience. During their senior year, students complete an internship at one of the selected health care sites in the Boston area or at international sites through Boston University Study Abroad.
